I'm thinking about going back to Japan to do some real photography. I also want to do something that you guys can enjoy as well. So I was thinking maybe I should go there with a theme in mind, to later come back to the states and produce a book with all the images I take from this journey. The question now is what would be a subject that's unique to Japan that people would like to see photographed and compiled into a book. I think this would be a really fun project but I need your input.
So far I have come up with a few that I think could be cool to see.
- Alternative Japan. Taking photos of really alternative looking people there and really alternative lifestyles. Like not costumed people but people who really live outside of the normal standards of Japanese society.
-Neon Lights. The streets of japan are more vibrant than anything you could imagine. Traveling across the country to photography beautiful urban city streets and all the light that fills them.
-School Girls. Taking photos depicting the life of real schoolgirls in today's modern Japan.
- Noodle houses. Go to every noodle house I find in Japan and photograph them inside and out, showing people the various types of noodle shops.
-Vending Machines. *self explanatory*
-Tattoos. make a photo compilation of tattooed people in japan and show the controversy that comes with it.
Do you like any of these ideas?
Whats your suggestion?
Your help is greatly appreciated!
